Sun TV is an Indian Tamil satellite T.V station. The network is owned by Kalanidhi Maran. The SD mode of this frequency was launch on 14th of April 1993 and then upgraded to HD mode on 11th of DEC 2011. Picture format for SD mode is 576i and for HD mode is 1080i. It is also a part of a Chennai-based network system. After the emergence, it is the first private T.V network of India. The mostly viewed Tamil channel in all over the world including United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.
In the year of 2015 Broadcast Audience Research Council of India (BARC) stated that the News live today is the most viewed channel in whole India leaving behind many famous Hindi channels like COLOURS, SONY and STAR PLUS. The network has completed its 20 years of glory.
