RTM TVi Malaysia Live

Tvi is a Malaysian digital television channel, known as RTM Tvi. It is state-owned and operate by Communication and Arts Malaysia, Radio-television Malaysia (RTM) and Malaysian broadcasting department. This is formally called RTMi, Muzil Aktif. It was launched focusing on the East Malaysian programs on 10 April 2011 named TVi, it is the part of RTM Digital Television services, and along with Muzik Aktif, Panggung.

Pelangi, Sinergi. No specific area defined for this, and it telecasts its programs nationwide, via digital satellite. It has its headquarters in Angkasapuri, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Broadcasts programs 24 hour a day when it re-launched in April. It broadcast its programs in two languages, its mother language Malaya and the other one English.

Tvi currently aired on Astro, s channel180, which previously broadcast RTM Muzik Aktif. It broadcast on UHF channel46. This Malaysian channel airs RTM digital-only channels such as SinErgi, Panggung (which repeats of old RTM1/RTM2 films, dramas in TVi’s original roles), and pelangi (it produced children and teen ages programs). These three are SinErgi. Panggung and pelangi are multiplexed and transmitted on channel44.

Purpose of  Tvi Malaysia Channel

This is specifically launched for the SBAH and Sarawak by the federal government and for the government of two states with the purpose of better and deeper understanding between the MalaysianPeninsular and MalaysianBorneo. Its focus is to provide programs related to Sabah and Sarawak, its culture and songs of many ethnic groups and documentaries. It may also help full further to develop the Malaysia concept between the Malaysians, especially in peninsular.

The initial purpose of this channel is to highlight the life of Sabah and Sarawak people, to promote its culture and history. It also plans in store for these states that way, RTM in conjunction along with Sabah and Sarawak state government as a plan to launch TV stations that promoting Sarawak and Sabah culture and its history.
