Network18 Group is the entertainment and the media group of India. The primary name for it is Network18 Media and Investment Limited and casually known as “Network18 Group”. It is broadcasted through the TV19 Broadcast Limited or we can say TV18 is a broadcasting arm for it. This company is embodied in being a private limited company. In April of 2006, the name of the company is changed from “SGA Finance and Management Services Private Limited to Network18”.
On the date of February 16, 1996, it becomes the private company. Afterwards, when the name gets changed, it becomes public on 2006 of November. 2 February 2007 is the date when it listed on both of the stock exchange “National Stock Exchange” and “Bombay Stock Exchange”. The face value of the share which was Rs 5 when opened it becomes Rs 300 for the Bombay Stock Exchange and for the National Stock Exchange it becomes Rs 312.10 respectively. In the same year, the name again changes from Network18 Fincap Limited to Network18 Investment Limited.
Network18 Plan: It announced a plan which consists of the restructuring. This plan allows creating two listed entity structure. All the plan thinking and creation happen in 2010 of July. 10 June 2011 is the date when the plan gets approval by the Delhi High Court and become beneficial and useful for it. After that, the realignment of the venture they making into two section gets completed. The parts are Network18 and TV18. Publishing and the digital side of the business came to it, and television assets of group undertake by other.

It is done in a complicated deal which has the possibility that Ambani gets the controlling interest and also held the (IMT) Independent Media trust. Ownership of the company is transfer to the Independent Media Trust (IMT) in the year of 2014, July. After that, an announcement came that the RIL (Reliance Industries Ltd.) is taking over it. RIL approved Rs. 40 Billion of funding to IMT for the control of it and the acquisition of it.
