TV AlHijrah online streaming channel is officially launched on 7 December 2010 (almost three years ago); it is also referred as the first free-to –air HD TV channel in Malaysia. This channel started plans for its transmissions of July 2010 in Kuala Lumpur, at the same time it officially started its construction and completed at television stations during the period from 1 July to 31 October 2010. On 1 November 2010 (at 15:00 in Kuala Lumpur) the former named Tun Abdullah bin Haji Ahmad Badawi started to test this television station. Then channel were officially launched (at 10:00) by the Dato’ Sri Mohammad Najib bi n Tun Haji Abdul Razak and Jamil Khir Baharom was appointed as a minister in Prime Minister Department (it is about Islamic affairs). It first time starts its broadcasting from the Klang Valley for Parliament Prime Minister Place at Malaysian Houses of Parliament. It uses HDTV technology. This can be watched in certain areas, but now it is installing new transmissions for providing its services in other areas. Streaming do not provide 24 hour transmission; it only broadcasts for 12 hours from Monday to Thursday at 07:00 to 00:00 on daily basis and it running 17 hours from Friday to Sunday it ends its transmissions at 00:00 daily. During the Holy month of Ramadan it broadcasts its programs 24 hours daily, it facilitate its audience with live Tarawih prayer From Makkah and also broadcast religious programs before Fajr Prayers. It provides news bulletins, give actual coverage journal telegram report, direct information affairs, breaking news segments, give updates of events, though all of these make it a successful television station form studio’s broadcasting stage center.
TV AlHijrah recently broadcasts via UHF and also available on Astro 114. In a very short time for 2011, some of its programs were started to make in HDTV expect live TV Programs.
